I have been travelling, catching trains in Italy and soaking up the atmosphere, and the colour.
How did the ancient Romans feel when they walked on tiles like these?
Why haven’t I got a fountain like this in my front yard?
How many brides have walked down this aisle?
Was this a horse trough? Or a bath? And is this a Roman nose?
Does the rain fall on the congregation?
What kind of person chose this as the perfect front door knocker?
What age was the oldest person who rode this carousel?
When was the last time a horse was hitched here?
Do you really think we travelled at 300 km an hour?
Coffee time?

Dear Meg,
Beautiful photos–and anyone can tell you are a storyteller! Those are the sort of questions I ask myself when I am traveling, the ones that make travel so very intriguing. Glad you are home safe and sound. Looking forward to many more pictures, stories, and questions posed!
Love,
Naomi

Dear Meg,
I’m sure you did! Would love to have been in that audience, but I hope to hear more of those store on your blog.
I came home from my trip last night to find your lovely present. “Roman Holiday” is one of my favorite movies, and I love the calendar. Thanks so much for thinking of me.
Love,
Naomi
